Quite a test of this oil, it was in service from Dec 17 until Jun 20 or 2 1/2 years. A lot of life got in the way on this run. Was driven very little for about a year while deployed. 1/2 qt added at 10k mi. Used a Fram XG 3614, will be cutting open soon.

Refilled with same oil and filter combo, can't ask for better IMO. TAN would have been a good data point given the time on this one but it slipped my mind and nothing out of the ordinary anyway.

Very solid wear numbers given such a long OCI for a passenger vehicle. M1 EP + Fram XG is quite a combo!

Was the oil color on the dipstick pretty dark? Thanks for posting, makes me want to try a 2 year interval. Miles will be low with short trips on 05 Toyota that's in good condition.

Thanks for both services . Impressive U.O.A. . Wonder if using the MOBIL1 0w-20 Annual Protection ( $2.50 a qt. , 4 Qts. ) used with the FRAM Ultra Guard 7317 ( 20,000 mis. ) could be run close to 2 years in the '13 FIT ? Probably would change around 15,000 miles due to change of seasons ( some fuel dilution , moisture , etc. ) . It's now out of warranty .

Thanks for your service.

Now you know it will likely make it 36 months and 20,000 mi. Don't know what else you can ask for oil that currently cost less than $5 a qt on sale at Walmart.

Nice report. I have a friend that has been doing 15-17K with M1 EP oils for several years now with very good success.

WOW! That 4.7 is a phenomenal engine. Going to assume you do don't do much stop and go?
