Well, if they're perpetrating the fraud, they should be made to admit it. The extra money was for the full syn. Bait and switch shouldn't have been permitted. Me, I refuse, flat out REFUSE to pay GroupIII "Synthetic" providers anything but the back of my hand. GroupIII PP for $5.79? Castrol "SYN"tec for $5.99? Valvoline for the same as the Castrol? And Mobil1 for on up to $7.99/Quart in my area? Don't think so..
If there's a giveaway of synthetic for dino prices, such as the Home Depot scores of the past summer and beyond, I'm on it. I WAS on it. I have 40 quarts of pre-GroupIII PP for my trouble, a lot of it free, but most for under 2.50/Qt. Even now, Pennzoil and Quaker State dino, Home depot, 5W20SM, .87 on up to $1.37/quart. High Mileage in SL 10W30 is marked down here for .59 cents! Do the math, less than $3 to $6.00 for an OCI which is clearly good for 4-5K OCI.
But when I can buy premium Dino like Havoline for an entire 4 quart OCI for less than the cost of a single quart of Mobil1, or 1 1/2 Quarts of fraudulently labled GroupIII ersatz-fake-phony balony overpriced Dino "synthetic", I'm doing the dino to a 5K oci.
I don't care if the GroupIII performs or not, it's a price-benefit ripoff. Imagine that. 25-32 dollars for 1 4 quart DIY OCI, plus filter. And they're gonna go GroupIII?
I hate rewarding these crooks..
Am I being unreasonable?
