Thank you! This was what I suspected. And this does not apply to Mobil 1 in a hermetically sealed steel can - the oxidation numbers there are likely due to the ester content.

I’m also sure he’s a very nice guy and knowledgeable. But just like with any other YouTube content creator it’s all about views/sales and marketing. The presented information may or may not be good.
@High Performance Lubricants I would be grateful if you would run a foam test on Rotella T6 5W40 and your equivalent HDEO. This might shed some light on the Rotella comments.
Have they tested delvac 1 5w40 in the foam test?
Thank you. I missed this.
Already done. 50-55 ml vs 0-1 ml
Just to clarify, the Rotella was fairly recent production and not some 10 year old jug from the corner in the garage?

Does all the HPL oil have that same lack of foaming? Even their cheapest PCMO?
As should any motor oil claiming to meet this test.Yes.
Holly Swift! I have never seen anything like this. The base oil selection in that HPL must be exquisite. That's not just the anti-foaming chemistry alone, that's the entire formulation.
I hope you're having a great day! I was wondering if you might have some data available on how AMSOIL Signature Series performs in the foam test, specifically for the 0W-20 and 5W-30 viscosities. I'm very interested in learning more about these products. Thank you so much for your help and time in advance. As should any motor oil claiming to meet this test.
Not a particularly high barrier

ASTM D892. Pass and pass. I don't have pretty pictures of all oils and lubricants in the foam tester.I hope you're having a great day!
