The Camaro is one of the best handling straight axle cars you will find for the money. Since I don't have a money tree that's what I drive. You can make a Fox body Mustang faster but it will cost you $15K - $20K in handling mods to do it.
I am 99.99% sure the rear window on the Z06 opens up (as in a hatch). So I guess they made just what you want.
L67? do you mean LS6? If so yes it is nice. My LS1 should have about the same or better power when I get it back. They didn't change much, just did some small refinements. All of which will bolt up to the LS1.
Yes this last year as been great. Although I think maybe I should have bought a kart instead.
