I do like the normal WIX filters. XP isn't efficient enough for my liking though.

Z06, you know I was j/k, right?

I don't know much about WIX filters. I know when my dad had his heavy equipment business his machines usually used 1 of these 3 filters;
1) Baldwin
2) WIX
3) FRAM
All of his oils, engine and hydraulic, were Chevron , in the 30 gallon and 55 gallon drums. Grease was Chevron as well.

I was in my local walmart 3 nights ago. The purolator filters were more than half gone. So were the tough guards.Hope they dont get rid of the ultras.

The shelves get empty when they are going to redo the planogram. It could be a complete removal of one line and a introduction of another or it could be that they are simply jockeying shelf space. No need to freak out.

Since I was already near a Walmart, I went in to do a stock check.

Many but not all of the sub $4 oil filters were out of stock. There were no Fram PH2 (Extra Guard) or Purolator L24651 (Classic) in stock. If I needed a filter now it would have to be a Tough Guard or better. No sign of the new Purolators yet.

If we started a drum roll now, would we get tired before WM stocked the new Purolators? Or should drum roll energy be conserved?

The extra guards are in stock, just buy an Ultra unsealed box.

They may arrest you for opening a filter box. Get you on a camera holding the EG and the Ultra box. You can still buy the Ultra box and pay the Ultra price for the EG inside. It's called wealth redistribution. The needy person who swapped the filter is the charity. I had to return something to WM, and the EG I had put on the shelf on top of the empty Ultra box, was back in the Ultra box. I put it back on top of the box again and told a clerk when I checked out. He said that's really bad. I think he was suppressing a yawn.

My local WM now has all of their Puro Classics marked down to $1.50. If I still had my Ion (Ecotec) I'd buy the canister filters because they don't seem to tear.....the others I won't buy...

It depends on the State and the way the law is written. Some states you cant be arrested until you leave the store..New Jersey has a concealment law.

I had to go to my local WM last night to pick up a few medical supplies. It had been over a week since I had last visited.
I rode over to the auto section to check out the oil and filters. There are no Purolator filters left. In their place are WMST filters. They have them stocked on the very top shelf, and there are a lot of them as well. I looked at an ST 3600 and was kind of impressed with it, from what I could see. The price was $2.84.
Also, their price on VML was $15.24 a few weeks ago for the 5 qt. container. It is now priced at $17.74. I guess they were losing too much money on the lowered price. Who knows, right?
