the valvoline restore and protect is same chemistry just not as aggressive as the old stuff.. instead of one oil change they recommend 4 with a bad gunked up engine. it cleans a little all the time to prevent clogging up oil filter.. whne i put some in my 188K mile hyundai that looked good inside i keep old filter on for the first 300 miles then switched to new one. figured the first miles would get the most out and then pop in new filter.. the dipstick is much cleaner for sure.

They both clean however they are completely different chemistries. Everything about them is different besides them cleaning. Lake literally says that in the video. Oxidation value is also 100 different as well which is a huge indication of being completely different...

Re-watch the video with Lake and he says they are completely different....

He says it from 1:20 minutes into it and up. They are completely different lol.
