Haha, stopped at AZ for once, anyway They had this on the clearence rack for 16.99, with the PEAK rebate for 10$ i got about a week ago, this cost me 6.99, still, 16.99 vs the reg price of 32.99 aint bad

Figure when the next 4000 miles on my current fill of Quaker State Ultimate Durability ill drop this in with the replacement K&N Oil Filter (K&N shipped it today :D) that replaced my bumped up one (see other post) anyway, when this does happen, it will be a 6000k oci on the Bosch Filter + Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5w20, what would be a good oci for this and a K&N?

I am missing something here. That is not synthetic oil. You paid the same amount for that 5qt jug as Valvoline Maxlife, Mobil 5000, Pennzoil conventional, or Quaker State Conventional at WalMart's every day price.

No, I didnt, I paid 6.99 out of pocket. 10$ of a PEAK rebate, as I stated above, 6.99 for Lucas anything is a steal!

I don't follow your reasoning. You already had the $10 rebate from Peak. It was your money. It is in no way related to the Lucas purchase. You spent $16.99 for this jug. $16.99 came out of your pocket to buy this with nothing back from Lucas as far as I can see. If you're grandma gave you a $5 bill before you left the house, would you then think you paid only $1.99 for this jug?

If your happy it's fine, but I can think of several ways I would rather spend $17 on oil.

Fine dude, I spent the same amount I woulda spent at walmart for QS, PENN, CASTROL, or Valvoline.
Either way, it is cheaper than it normally is, it was on clearence, woo hoo. Id rather use Lucas over Valvoline or Castrol anyway, so whatever.
To each his own, I know people who will only use Castrol or Valvoline...

lol, it is kinda odd theyd advertise it like that. Might make someone think the oil cant handle 10 cylinder engines.

I once bought some Mystik JT-8 on Autozone "clearance" and my fellow BITOGers made me feel stupid about it, so I feel your pain

I think he was trying to clarify your OP, which is confusing. I wasn't seeing the connection between the Peak rebate and the Lucas "savings" either, but didn't really care enough to inquire.

Regardless, I don't know much about Lucas PCMO's, so I would have passed on this had I seen it. There are too many other great deals to worry about semi-deals like this one. JMO

Im with you on this, Lucas oil is very overated oil, better could have been had for the same money or only a few bucks more..

OP: good for you if your happy, but i understand other views as well..

Certainly and interesting mix of a high milage oil that is fuel saving with A3/B3/B4 rating implying an HTHS greater than 3.5.

I try to support an American company where possible but Forrest Lucas is too nutty for me to support IMHO. It is hard to get a answer out of the guy.
