14k miles on my 2006 Dodge Cummins using Fast Lube's ?

10k miles on my 2011 Ford F150 Ecoboost using whatever Cherokee Ford puts in it. I go by the overhead to tell me when it's due.

the longest OCI I have gone on my OTR Detroit Diesel S60 engines was 81k. The average over many years on all these engines was 56k (around 5 months). used oil analysis were a fundamental part of this and always sampled at OCI

In my cars I established a suitable OCI at around 11-13k based on the Manufacturer's Warranty needs (Porsche & Benz) and their recommended OCIs - and of course my own experience!!

IMO the majority of people change their engine's oil well short of need

Longest I've gone here was with an friend's Chevy Blazer...

15K on Mobil 1 Extended Performance. He was a sales guy and drove up to 40K a year!!

He BBQed his previous motor from missing OCI's... so when he got the Blazer, I put him on the Mobil 1 Extended Performance program just praying it would work....

He's got over 300K miles on the truck now and no lube related engine issues!!

I feel smart.
