I had my Prius in for its 30k service today. As part of the service, they did an oil change with Toyota 0w20.

Looking at my records, I went 10,297 miles on the last fill of Toyota 0w-20. That is the longest I have gone on any car. The dealer saved a sample for me which will be sent out for an UOA this week.

What is the longest that you have ever gone on a fill of oil?

10,500 miles with my 06 Scion tC 2.4L (Camry Engine) on Amsoil's best "Signature Series" oil. Could've gone longer as per the UOA.

16k on Pennzoil conventional. Back in the days I didn't know much.

13,xxx miles on FF with E430, the FSS was minus 200-300 miles. 25,xxx-26,xxx miles with M1 in LS400, I thought I changed the oil at 1 year OCI, so that time the OCI was 2 year.

In college I used the money my dad gave me for an oil change to buy beer and I went 1 year and 22k miles on Valvoline conventional delivering Pizza's as my college job.

Honestly just about 6k miles still gets my heart going a bit on conventional which is all I run.

But thats me. When I grew up even suggesting oil changes past 3k miles was met with a quip from my grandfather about maintaining things properly and never slacking off.

The times have changed, my friend. Now, it's the young telling the old that they're not being green enough; that they're being too wasteful. I try to stay away from what's trendy, though, and let the used oil analysis and advice here and other sites dictate my maintenance schedule.

12k miles on my dad's beater 97' accord. It didn't complain one bit, and believe it or not, the dipstick never moved the oil was full even at the end of the OCI. It had 200k miles at the time, it now has 220k miles.

8,000 miles.

I just cannot extend it longer; I don't want to flirt with sludge or neglect.

Plus: I LOVE changing oil.

10.5K , 18 months,on syn and could have gone farther per UOA on F150. Now have bypass filtration & will shoot for 15K on conventional HDEO.

9K, 20 months on GpII/GpIII blend on Honda V6, good UOA

120 hrs, 3 years on IH Tractor, UOA good but heavy soot

When I saw the subject line of this thread, I thought it meant something else. Then I remembered what site I was on.

For the record, I think the longest I've gone is only about 6k, but with my new car I'm ramping my way up to 7.5k OCI's.
