Well my 2000 Silverado really hasn't been use that much in the last year. I finished off the 5 gallon RP I bought in 2006 last fill, June of last year with Purolator filter. Since I've only driven a little under 3000 miles, sat most of the winter in garage driven maybe a handful of times, should the oil be changed and wasted? I was planing on going at least 7K miles this time and do a UOA as recommended by Black Stone. Last UOA was in 07' and posted here back in 07'. Should I drain? Is a 2 year OCI too long with Royal Purple? Any thoughts appreciated.

I would not waist good oil like RP keep it in,take it out every so often and get the oil up to temp to burn off any moisture, you'll be fine.

Since I have returned to work after being off for almost a year, I have been driving the truck more regularly in the last month or so. Never less than 10 miles at any time.

And I wouldn't waste money on a UOA either.

Hard not to, with the bolt on's and tune I have. This engine pulls hard to 6K. O-60 in 7 sec.

Theoretically, that should take care of the condensation built up during the winter. I wouldn't hesitate to go 1.5 or 2 years on RP as long as those aren't a lot of local miles you're doing. Of course this is assuming you top your oil off and have a quality oil filter too
