long (elapsed) Auto-Rx clean cycle

I have just completed the clean cycle on my 93 Suburban with a rebuilt 5.7L engine. The engine has about 60K on it. I started the clean cycle in the spring of 2007 and just got in about 2K miles. The vehicle had not been driven for awhile. But given my Jeep has blown engine, this is my daily driver for now.

Maybe I will even complete the Auto-Rx rinse cycle before my Jeep has a working engine.

+1 why would you put arx in a new engine?

Is 60K a new engine?

The only thing I see wrong with the rebuilt engine is a puff of (oil) smoke when starting the engine after not running it overnight. I would assume a valve stem seal?

A valve stem seal would be a good possibility. Have you checked compression recently?

Ah, I misread your OP and thought you had recently had your motor rebuilt with 60k on'er.

Just keep it in there and start driving it hard till around 3000 miles.

Just curious, these 2k miles, are they very short trip driving, or, did you only sporadically use the vehicle but its trips were > 20 minutes?
