Local police recover vehicle wrecked in the river, find another one

Another vehicle found while vehicle being pulled from river

So, guy from 20 minutes outside of town, apparently impaired on drugs, ends up putting his car in the river. They salvage the car and while in the process, find another car! LOL!! So now there is a separate investigation for that vehicle.

That happens quite frequently actually. Lots of V8 SUVs turned up in the rivers here when gas hit $4 a gallon.

Its a newer model in decent shape.

They drain our aquaduct once a year to clean out all the ditched cars.

Probably reported stolen by the owner and ditched because they were upside down it it, had a mechanical issue, couldn't afford it, etc. Possibly it was actually stolen and ditched after committing crimes in it. I'm leaning towards the former.

Same with various parts of the Brazos River.

Not a lot of cars..... usually lots of guns...?

Probably stolen and ditched as others have alluded to.

Appears to be a black Civic (HERE is a picture of the back of it) with aftermarket wheels. I think I've seen that car around town in the past.

Last year a car went into a wooded ravine in the mountains near here. When the rescue crew went down to retrieve the car they found another with a dead body in it. The body had been missing for 2 years.
