Liquimoly does have MoS2! Ok....a bit of additive sub-forum clickbait

The same could be said for those asking questions about LM additives....just email them and ask for their testing/results.
True, but imo the smart money is on XOM doing more testing, along with having more money and resources to back it up. XOM isn't pushing additives like MoS2 to add to oil, nor do they use it because they know there are much better moly choices to use in their formulations. That's been discussed a few times here by our resident experts. But hey you believe LM is a better oil, and/or MoS2 is better for your engine go for it. I'll pass.

Yes, if I count correctly I have owned four including my current ECHO. An '80-something Ford Escort wagon, an '81 Mazda 626, a '79 that I will not mention for fear of ridicule, and my '00 ECHO.
The '80s era Escort wagons were pretty cool little wagons.

i have to admit that i use ashless fullsyn tcw3 ravenol too.
3cyl has nvh by design (worse when cold), but this improves it. never had luck with pea.
probably synergy with oil aditive.

X1/9?

I remember someone driving one to PIR when I was bike racing there. I fancied the styling.

the major downfall of the x1/9 was it's tiny engine imo. if only they had slightly bigger/more powerful options. But the driver skill needed would have been bigger aswell, Those rear engined cars tend to punish misapplication of the throttle (too much or too little at the wrong time)

Looks like Hammond is on the LM bandwagon for his re-aquired Jag. I'll have to watch the video series. Hope they reminded him that the Ceratec will clump up in his oil pan unless he drives it a lot.

I've texted him to let him know.
LOL good, not that what he has to say matters to me. IIRC Richard Petty endorsed STP back in the day. Money talks and can make people talk. ;) Hey if they come up with the right amount of cash I'll endorse it too.

Funny on STP - Dave w/HPL and I chatted on the phone about the oil I had used/working with them on (Euro 5W40) and he had a great story about Richard Petty....nobody put that crap in their race cars....it was like honey! I remember using it in an old Subaru I had to stop it from smoking.

I grew up in that era. Money talked then and it still talks today, Richard Petty and Mario Andretti endorsed it for years. I also doubt they used the crap. It did quiet noisy engines many times. Dealers used it, sometimes it worked just long enough for the taillights of a used car to clear the driveway apron of the used car lot and end the warranty for the guy who bought the car. lol

LM LLHT 5W40 + MoS2 worked great* this weekend at the track.

*great = car didn't blow up, oil temps stayed reasonable (245 max), and I continued to knock some time off my PR which of course would have all been true for HPL, Supertech, or M1 🤣 🤣 🤣
