Root beer,as A&W at the resturant out of a cold glass mug,and a hot dog, nothing better,or canned sunny delite (non Carbonated) is not bad.BL

I'm kinda surprised that somebody hasnt come out with a line of pop, called tonic here in SE MA, that has about 25% of the sweetners found in most popular brands. The stuff is too darn sweet. The last few yrs, Ive been mixing water and lime juice concentrate and at about 15:1. Much more thirst quenching than any pop ever made.

andy, you won't believe how widely the tastes of pop vary from one country to the other. A 7 Up, for example, is much more lemony and fizzy in The Netherlands than in the US. Brazil is less lemony but fizzier than ours.

Our 7 Up has the most calories among the ones I have tasted, and is sweeter. Even the new 'all natural' one. I am surprised it took so many years to start selling all natural 7 Up in the US. In the mid 90-s, when I started paying attention to these things, I only drank 7Up because it didn't have any artificial ingredients (it was in Europe). When I came to the US, I quit drinking pop because of sodium benzoate and high calorie content.

Guess what sodium benzoate becomes when mixed with vitamin C. Benzene.

I wish there was sugar in soda, then maybe i'd drink it. Instead its all high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, splenda, and other **** like that. No thanks

I might have some Schweppes ginger ale or tonic water, Calpico, a Coke or Pepsi on occasion. I have a soda maybe once every two weeks or so. Generally, I'm more of a fan of H2O, and freshly pressed fruit and veg juices. But yes, occasionally I have a hankering for a soda.

Maybe you oughta buy your soda on Earth and not on Optimus Prime next time.

By the way, what's likely as unhealthy as the high sugar content, the articficial sweetener and the preservatives, is the high phosphorus content in soda. Phosphorus can cause calcium deficiencies and demineralization of bones.

Not in our house. Even my 7 1/2 yr old daughter chooses fruit juice or water when I take her out and she gets to choose. Very smart child my Tash. Even shields her eyes if we are out and she see a KFC sign. She knows that's nothing but rubbish. Just have to get her to do the same with Macca's and we have won the battle.

LOL, a friend at work had his 4YO at a party yesterday, and someone gave his son some coke (nope not the will jefferson kind).

They had a 4YO pinging off the walls until 9:30, when the caffeine and sugar all wore off at the same time.

I drink about 12 A day, I keep Mt.Dew,DrPepper,Pepsi in the house so it could be any of those in any order.

I don't drink soda for caffeine. I don't need or live off of caffeine.

But I'm drinking a Pepsi as I write this.

Don't see anything wrong with occasional soda. Seldom any harm in commercial products in moderation. My favorite's Sam's Choice (Wal Mart) by the way. Started buying it because it's cheap. Continue buying it because it's GOOD!
