Paprika?

What is it for?

Never even heard of it before, never mind used it.
Chicken paprikash is a paprika heavy Hungarian dish that is well known here in the States. Quite delicious.

Yes I dry all peppers in a dehydrator, and grind them in a coffee grinder (dedicated to spices).

These are the peppers I grew: Papri Plus Hybrid Pepper

I have enough paprika to last me a long time and have about a dozen seeds left over, so if you would like them just PM me your address and I'll send them along.

I don't know about the quality, but a local independent supermarket has bulk paprika for maybe $6.99/pound. I find that a lot of what they sell in bulk is considerably cheaper. Bay leaves are much cheaper in bulk than prepackaged. Maybe cinnamon sticks too. Prepackaged spices are generally sold at ripoff prices unless it's larger quantities at Costco.

I feel my throat burning from acid reflux just looking at that pic! Definitely would be having a pb&j if that was supper.

I might put a dash of salt on my chicken, otherwise plain is good.

I've never had one that was all that spicy. I am thankful I suffer from indigestion, at least if I don't pig out too close to bed time.

The base of the sauce is sour cream so it cuts down in what little kick there is.

So this is crap? Made a goulash with it a while ago that was good, but probably not as good as it could have been, judging by this thread.
