BuzzBallz - anyone tried them?

There was a Friday special on them at a local supermarket. I figure it can't be that bad, and they were 2 for $5, although I could have gotten just one. It's just they have a "$5 Fridays" although 2 for $5 can be 1 for $2.50.

I got the Strawberry 'Rita and PeachBallz cocktails. I did a little checking, and they have several varieties, including the cocktails, chillers, and Biggies. I was looking around for them, and the Biggies (maybe 1.75 liters) were locked behind glass. The "chillers" are supposedly some malt beverage. The cocktails use real liquor, although it doesn't really specify exactly what it is other than "tequila" or "vodka".

Anyone try these? I was reading about them, and the founder was looking for something that might be popular at pool parties and would float if sealed but dropped in a pool. I needed to wash them off anyways, and I can verify that they do float, although the metal top is heavier than the plastic body and the top tends to point down.

Seems like the packaging was the highlight of the experience.

They sell the heck out of those White Claws-they seem very similar to me (lots of sugar+cheap alcohol).

First time I saw these was them being sold on a Sprit flight to 'Vegas. You can imagine the experience...was the only flight that fit our schedule.

My short opinion: just say NO.

Tried the peach. Interesting. Supposedly made with vodka but it was slightly bitter.

My daughter picked up a couple a year or so ago. I don't drink, but I like peach flavored stuff. I tasted it. It ain't for me. I'd chug a gallon of 20/20 before I'd touch one of those again. I was expecting something wine-coolerish. What it tasted like was a bit worse than how a gym locker room smells.

I like the coffee one and pina colada flavored one. And I think the lime margarita one is good too it’s been awhile since I had that one though.

Yeah, we pick them up in packs. We usually do a round with the other parents at the kids sports once in awhile. Not much in them, but fun to knock back. Good to have around for the morning games.
