Lets talk about new vehicles

I like that it's made in Japan. If I could get over the exterior styling...I do think the interior looks great. A coworker has one in Red Diamond, the paint looks amazing.
Yeah I have always been a fan of Red Diamond but this Graphite color and the LE trim was priced great... I usually go SE... but this had all i needed... it really should be $20k more... it's very slick..I drove the first year but didn't buy... they have improved...

Pat and the boss Gordon treated me like a Rock Star.... no nonsense, and no drama, straight shooters...
The first thing Pat told me was they were going to streamline the process since I am a regular buyer and he said I do my homework.
Oxford Mitsubishi in PA... worth the trip... tell them Jim and Chimmie sent you and get er done 😁

My wife and I agree on one great car buying experience - and it was a very assertive salesman who had been laid off by an oilfield trucking company. He found exactly what we wanted and got it moved. I remember coming back to pick up a front to rear OEM mat set we ordered. The aftermarket guy grabs the boxes and carts them over to me. This is a 3 row plus cargo set - $600 and heavy. He leans them all against the wall. I’m watching him walk off when my salesman comes around the corner. He just rips the guy - and 5 minutes later I’m watching both of them install the mats …

I just got home from the dealership where I got the royal treatment while on BITOG nothing but nonsense...

Pat my salesman took care of everything and even put my tags on and supplied a front bracket when most don't... no temp tag to worry about..

He proudly said Gordon the boss gave me a 1% better rate interest rate than he quoted. No add ons or upsells... ultra smooth and very quiet... very refined for a 4 cylinder
turbo motor and you don't even think about a CVT...

Quick and painless... on the way home with the AC fully cranked and speeds up to 60 mph I got 32.8 mpgs .

Some pics for the followers ✨

Very nice! I'm talking about the Mitsu, BTW. (y)

The Sport is nowhere in the league of the Outlander and its a night and day difference. And yes I like the Sports but they need an update.

Right now this big Outlander is the steal. Many Jeep vehicles were 20% off and the lot is loaded... the guy next to me was crying that all he could get off a Jeep was $13k... wow not something to cry over...

At that multiplex the lot is full of all makes.... however I did see a bunch of action too.

For the attacks on the front end I never think about it but I like what I see when I see others on the road and thankfully no more bad headlights like the Hondas I have endured for decades...

I think my 86 Acura Integra was by far the best Honda headlight experience I have had with amazing paint and build quality..

A SUV to me is a tool and my Accord was a bit scary at times on dark Baltimore Washington interstate area where people drive like maniacs and I easily out ran the headlights of my 25 Accord... My 2010 Insight even with far younger eyes was a nightmare

It is what it is and it's all good 👍

Lucky me....
All my Accord and Sport oil and filters are a perfect fit for the new Outlander so I have a massive stash... unlike poor @KCJeep the GTL queen 👸

The question is why does the Eclipse with the same engine get such dismal mpgs.. Yes we have a very mild hybrid boost but also a larger vehicle with the same Super AWC..

Maybe the question of the century 🤔

Getting a new car cheap is not always the best investment unless you run it until it dies...

Resale value will be limited in the end unlike a top tier brand like Honda or Toyota...

However I am soured on Honda this minute and Toyota reminds me of the early 80s Honda bunch.

Toyota dealers like to load you up on worthless packages and here are constantly raising the cost of hybrid models weekly...

I really dislike both attitude wise...
Oh well....nothing new under the sun
My big complaint with Toyota is that as far as I can tell they are the only manufacturer that sends dealerships what they get. No ordering. Even Lexus dealerships can build a vehicle or find a vehicle for a customer.

I also dislike that policy that Toyota has. Buyers of the GR Corolla, GR Supra and GR86 would love to be able to order exactly the car they want from the factory but instead they have to settle for whatever is available. That’s bad business.

Yup...Tommi Mikulah of Delivrd deals with that daily plus it keeps inventory low and prices high.. it's a contrived scam..

I think to avoid the Toyota hybrid fraud just go with CX 50 hybrid from Mazda and avoid the Toyota tax..I see them well equipped under $34k and readily available ..4th generation Toyota innards

The advantage of the new get your real tags at the dealership when you buy is great because most people only notice the temp tag and not the vehicle.
I had two people stop over when I was loading up the tree debris and the new totally different Mitsubishi was in my lane and nobody mentioned it... 😆 A nice feature..

Even my nosey neighbor didn't call me

I have an okay stash since the new Edge takes the same filter as the Stang, but I had just bought a bunch of filters for the old Edge that now don’t fit. 😮. Going to try to take them back but not sure they will take them.

If you trade instead of a refund you may have better luck... no cash loss
Good luck

I was behind a new CRV and Pilot this morning.... the Pilot really got neutered and reminds me of the Ford Escape when it went from a box to a C-Max style jelly bean and the Outlander appears larger than all of them.... just an observation...

I really didn't like the Pilot visuals...

They all look like the Ford flex I mean Mitsubishi Outlander

Saw an old friend yesterday. She just bought a new 26 Toyota Crown Hybrid. They soaked her for..........get ready for it.....Sixty Six Thousand dollars. She had been shopping cars and admitted that she was worn out at the dealership and just signed on. That is $9,500. over what is advertised in stock in her area for the same model and trim.

What a bummer. Wish she had asked for help shopping.
