Lets talk about new vehicles

My last three new cars had a glass roof. I did not want them but in order to get the options I wanted I had to go that route. I miss the day when you could custom order a car.
Same. I wanted leather for the dogs and power hatch for the wife and with that I got sunroof and rims/tires that look like they belong on a lowrider or something.

However the "order any care you want" is what ultimately did GM in the first time. Its expensive.

Not sure the solution. Clearly there able to sell this crap. Its only us crotchety old guys that don't want glass roof I guess 🤷‍♂️

The question is with the dipstick is the tube still there or just capped off without a dipstick like Nissan CVTs?

He doesn't need financing. He's got more than that in a pillowcase. Makes me sleep good.
In that case, I recomend one of these. Its the right color. And its built in South Carolina. You really can't do any better.

When I ordered the Club Sport there were only three options- limited slip, premium sound and a sunroof. Munich tried to make me take the sunroof but my salesperson prevailed and my Club Sport was built without a hole in the roof.

I might look at a a Subaru Outback
I hear they improved the noise isolation aspects of it and most everything else and dumped the infotainment screen which I really disliked....

The boxer always sounded agricultural to me but maybe they isolated that out of the cabin...

I do like the look of it and the Premium is around $35k

I can get a Forester hybrid for the same price

Motormouth Subaru Outback review. 2026 model.
This is the turbo however

Make sure you get a Coexist sticker for it. 🤣

I looked at Subaru. They were on my list. I was impressed with a lot of things but after driving one for half an hour my back was killing me. If it weren't for the seats I might have bought one.

I passed one on the highway yesterday and it looked terrible. Wierd plastic squared off wheelwells and odd lines...reminded me, (gasp) of an aztec.

The money you will pay for an easy oil change and you'll look the other way on ugly

Concur. They somehow figure out a way to make them even uglier with every generation, at least for the Forester and Outback.

Subaru is currently in first place in the "How much gaudy cladding can we slap on one car?" contest. Some of them are just laughable.

The Outback would be the only one I'd consider, but overall, I do not get the cultish love for Subies. 🤷‍♂️

It doesn't bother me at all.
It's more truck like....
Subarus were never a work of art...

If it's durable and comfortable thats all I care about..

Edit.... and no stinking rattles

What do you know about class or quality? Before I met you, your lane was filled with junky VWs...
