Lets talk about new vehicles

Ford and Toyota have had the best CVT transmissions for some time now. They are generally found on the hybrids. It's known as a eCVT. Honda has recently moved to eCVT technology. I think 2023 was when Honda changed over from the traditional CVT.

I believe the avatar law breaker @KCJeep is talking about a CRV in commercial use

Indeed it is.

Our new 25 RAV4 has made it to the main office as of today, good news as the transmission on the one CRV is about to go. Been getting progressively worse the last 6 months.😱

I suggested an Outlander Sport and save the cash but nooooooo…..

My local Ford dealer must have 400 trucks on the lot. I was by there today but too lazy to get pics.

They like to buy up inventory and swindle other desperate dealers... that may backfire these days..

I never disliked them. I like how smooth they can be. For hills they are great. If you know what they're about then it makes sense when you drive one. I prefer CVT's that don't program fake shifting.
Totally agree 👍

My 24 Sport had issues with the rear camera- it was hazy and dark, and I saw YT videos saying the same
They didn't know about the light adjustments in the settings. Of course, my 24 had the most darkness of my 5 prior
Sports. Yesterday I went out and I was right- the rear camera had a protective film on the lenses, and I guess the dealer
didn't remove it as I never had this before. My 24 is very late as Mitsubishi was very late with the 25s

One of the comments:

"As a former Toyota service advisor, I can say that the Toyota CVT is the most reliable CVT out there. It has a physical first gear that greatly improves the reliability. Dead stop first gear launches are where CVT transmissions experience the most stress. Toyota designed this CVT with this aspect in mind and made it near bulletproof."
