Lot's of unsold Vettes out there now.A local dealer here has a Z06 2LZ $5k discount. Sounds good to me as these were $75k over list during Covid….$126,610

The delay wipers on the lowest setting are a bit aggressive
Exactly.....100%That’s one thing that Honda has gotten wrong with their newer cars. In my 2006 Civic the intermittent wipers had a large range of adjustment and on its slowest setting it would only wipe about once every ten seconds, which is perfect for light drizzle. But with my 2016 the intermittent setting is not adjustable and it wipes way too much! So on light drizzle I constantly have to use the “single wipe” feature instead. It’s super annoying because I don’t like having the wipers wipe too often on a relatively dry surface![]()
Our Toyota is the same - way too fast. It has like 6 settings. My Nissans have like 10.That’s one thing that Honda has gotten wrong with their newer cars. That’s inexcusable. When I worked at BMW I would have been beyond humiliated if a customer knew more about the car I was selling than I did.I'm reminded of a test drive of a new Durango a few years ago. Sales rep was a young girl. She insisted riding up front and my wife was riding in the back. About half way through the 20 minute drive, I noticed the sales rep had gotten quiet. I look over and she's. . . .sleeping, head bouncing off her shoulder. It was probably for the best--she was also clueless about that vehicle. . .couldn't answer the most basic questions.
What I noticed at BMW dealerships is that sales representatives switch conversation to “cars” if they notice person knows something. They don’t try to pontificate. That’s inexcusable. When I worked at BMW I would have been beyond humiliated if a customer knew more about the car I was selling than I did.
We used oranges, apricots, plums, peaches.....whatever was getting ripe. Avocados.
You were the exception rather than the rule. I was shocked the other day at a Honda shop when the guy actually knew all the configurations of the Civic line. The Si and R were manuals one a hatcback and one a sedan. Most dealer folks are SALES guys, not CAR guys at all. That’s inexcusable. $12.45 is roughly what it costs me to drive from my place to Niagara Falls and back. It’s a 160 mile round trip though. That’s in the Civic, if I take the Corvette it’s a wee bit moreHonda Accords HVAC in auto mode is weak. All my other vehicles easily outperform it....
I use the fan mode instead. Not sure why but it doesn't actually keep the temps that you dial in. Seems 10 degrees off....
I drove all week for $12.45
That I like

I've found that with the 4 times I've purchased a car from a new car dealer (4 new, 1 used), knowing a lot about a product, it's a source of amusement, but also resulted in the purchase taking about 5 minutes (until this year I made sure an offer price resulted in me being shown the door [no counter], and then I take a few more hundred off and get such deal at the next dealer--this may not work in 2025, dunno). Pride is a funny thing, always will be.That’s inexcusable. When I worked at BMW I would have been beyond humiliated if a customer knew more about the car I was selling than I did.
Accord Hybrid nitpicking
Shift lever requires you to go underneath to push the button...weird
No real room above the rear view mirror to easily adjust it.
EX-L is supposed to be softer due to the 17 inch tires. It's still a bit stiff.
Electric motor sound is there most of the time. More than most other Hybrids.
No Sirius radio...... using an app isn't easy at first but if you preset the channels it gets better but not ideal
Direct Injection not my favorite
The delay wipers on the lowest setting are a bit aggressive
One great feature is the walk away automatic locking. Just get out of the car and start walking and it locks by itself.
Great.....I think the rear view mirror is probably different because the tech box so to speak is larger....too lazy to describe it. Will get a picture today.I have a 2019 HAH Touring with very high miles.
Here are my responses to these issues:
1. 10th gen has shift buttons instead of a lever. I know people don't like shift buttons, but I actually like them better. When I stop the car, I just push the start-stop button and the transmission automatically goes into Park.
2. I don't notice the issue with the rear-view. I am able to adjust it the way I want it, and I've just left it there.
3. I have 17" wheels and I also would like a floatier ride. Mine has different suspension modes as part of the Touring package.
4. I don't notice the electric motor sound. At 260k+ miles, my engine is a bit loud at times. Piston slap kind of sound.
5. 10th gen has Sirius. I tried the free trial when I bought the car. I don't care for Sirius at all. I like to listen to Spotify or audiobooks instead, and I use Android Auto all the time. Everybody has a different preference here.
6. 10th gen is port injected. Possibly that's part of the reason my fuel economy isn't as good as yours, though.
7. Touring has auto wipers and I like them a lot.
8. I don't know if mine has automatic locking, but I don't think I'd like that feature.
The new BMW M cars don't interest me one bit; I'd take an F87 M2 CS, but that's about it. Anyway, I owned an E24 M6 for several years- back when M stood for Motorsport and not Marketing.I've found that with the 4 times I've purchased a car from a new car dealer (4 new, 1 used), knowing a lot about a product, it's a source of amusement, but also resulted in the purchase taking about 5 minutes (until this year I made sure an offer price resulted in me being shown the door [no counter], and then I take a few more hundred off and get such deal at the next dealer--this may not work in 2025, dunno). On the current purchase, my wife asked the sales manager, "Where is this car assembled?"
When the mgr hesitated, I said, "Arlington, Texas, local 276."
The Chevy manager burst out laughing....
When it comes to cars I've given up on some dreams for sure--Porsche 911, thought I would own one by now.
Painful to type this, I'm not so sure I'll get a BMW M. OUCH. Just seems to be getting less likely, as I have an 11 year old.
At least with the car on order, a "dream" is being fulfilled. Magnetic ride control and air ride. Huge to me. Oh yeah, the bigger radiator too! lol (imho we have to get what we want, when we get a new or used vehicle, because it doesn't happen too often, at least for me)
edit oh yeah, just remembered this one too--mechanical limited slip is standard. In the BMW world, that is reserved for the M's. Not with Chevy as we'll have that too.
Now all they have to do is design a way for the oil to drain from the top too! Then they'd have the best user serviceable car in the world! The one thing Subaru done right.
