Lets talk about new vehicles

The new front end is horrible in light colors. Not bad with darker colors. After the way my Mav went through our recent blizzard without AWD and I have a 8 year 100K no deductible, I will probably keep it a while. Mine has had no unexpected trips to the dealer. The last trip to have recalls down resulted in a upgrade to the brake software which worked, which has me even happier with my purchase than ever.
Mine has been trouble free but I have 3 software recalls with one having no fix yet. I haven't noticed anything so when the 3rd gets resolved I'll take it in...
Yes they are great in snow...I can only imagine how great with some quality winter tires...
Also great mpg in the winter where the Cmax faltered.

I was reading the daily driver thread and noted dump the nannies.

On the Outlander Sport you simply turn them off or tweak them to be non bothersome.

Stop-Start, what's that?
No need to turn it off as it's not even there.....

It's a simple vehicle. Sorry to bore you all 😆 🤣

Always liked how the Outlander Sport looked.

Are they still using the NIssan CVT? I think that might be OK - Nissan's third redesign was 2020, and I have not heard of one of them failing yet?

Mitsubishi did it's own tuning etc and never had the issues Nissan had. ( Jatco CVT )
I've had 5 sports and no issues but I have noticed revisions-improvements in every new model year. Nissan noted big cvt revisions on the new kicks but I haven't looked into that.

Nice!

That is partly why I went with 2023 Crosstrek vs 2024 where they've dialed up the nannies.

Stop-Start was a $20 fix, so not bad. The rest of the nannies can be tweaked or turned off permanently in the settings.

I like high-tech, but not when it becomes too intrusive.

Great.....I was going to buy a Legacy and had no issues but I didn't want another DI engine but the oil filter location is awesome...The Legacy deals were great with the premium being less than $27k with haggling... I think I should have grabbed one...2025 model...last year for it.

The sport is a bit obsolete but as noted I like that and it was a nostalgic purchase. I bought one for my folks last ever anniversary and had many good times and a sport was usually in my lane... I have other cars that supply the DI and turbos and tech but Mitsubishi supplies the reliability and seats that fit an old man's back...

Subaru meh.... we've had a few at work, they are okay, but I sure don't get the cult like following they have. I'd definitely take a Mitsu over a Subie, although dealer network here is not great for Mitsu, not that Subaru has that many more.

I already knew how you feel...further back we have your remarks and my test drive...lol
