Lets talk about new vehicles

Not buying it…

The number one VW dealer out of five in the area probably sells as many cars as the other 4 combined. Total snakes, just awful, a great place to send someone you don’t like. 😱
Who you talking to or about???

That D’Ambrosia ad you posted triggered me over the #1 bragging claim. Look like birds of a feather to me.

That or I am just rambling on again…. 😱
I purchased let's see 6 cars from them and never had an issue. Of course more local in Oxford PA. They were my Mitsubishi dealer.

You interrupted Soul Train for this and Paul Anka...wow dude.

I test drove two 2024 Lexus RX's today - a RX350 and the RX350H.

Both were fairly slow (0-60 time in the mid 7's) by 2024 standards, but I can see why the RX350h is preferred; the hybrid powertrain is simply quieter and less intrusive. From a NVH standpoint, it is definitely closer to the prior-gen's V6 that many folks loved.

The 2.4L turbo in the RX350 makes rackety 4-cyl TGDI sounds....not unexpected, just "out of the norm" for the RX platform.

I have a lightly optioned RX350 on order. There are plenty of gas models available and are being discounted aggressively; think 2019-2020 levels of discounting. The hybrid ones are selling for 1-2k under MSRP (at best) if you can find one. For my situation, an $8k premium for the hybrid does not pencil out for a low-mileage driver.

You might be overdue for a new Mitsubishi. The Mirage is so you. 🤣🤣🤣

Admit it, you like the cheap part. 😛
Big deals on Sports.
Love to get another but the Maverick is incredible so far.

I filled up my Maverick this morning and put in 5.4 gallons of 87 octane and drove 312 miles this week. Speeds up to low 70s...
Very cheap to operate.

Just wondering how good I would look in a new Caddy 🤔 😏 😆

I picked up another new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport last Friday. Simply a nostalgia purchase that allows me to remember the great days of the past. That's really it.
Better vehicles out there no doubt and they are not cheap especially being Japanese built....

The Bad is it gets half the mpgs my Maverick hybrid gets...now a gas hog....sad but true. I only have about 390 miles on it now... It makes me happy to own another... combined mpg at this break in stage has been 27 to 30 mpg in mixed driving..

Other than a nostalgia purchase I appreciate port injection, easy maintenance, and the simplicity of it all. AWD is a plus as well, although the fwd Maverick does great in snow.

My last sport was the 2021 LE model. This sport was in oak brown which is a snore but in the sun it blows up and is very nice looking.

All my prior sports had the 2L engine and always sounded like they had a very minor exhaust leak..just the way the normal engine sounded.

This new one is a 2L too but is nearly silent and silky smooth...actually amazingly refined and no longer agricultural like I used to call the early 80 Cavaliers...

The CVT drone is less than half of what it used to be and I have had so many I actually like them...

The infotainment screen gets abused but I was really surprised if you dig deeper into the new unit it has tons of useful options like even allowing the radio to get louder with speed....just to name one.

I thought the power folding mirrors were cool but now I use the key fob to avoid activating them...if you use the button on the outside door handle it activates them. I fear of wearing them out but it is a nice standard on the SE model.

Best thread ever back from the dead! :D

I've never had folding mirrors, they are kinda cool but also sorta a fix for a non-existent problem? They were a status thing, but they have now crossed over to vehicles for mere mortals.

Yeah the coolness fades rather fast but my poor mom (RIP) could have used them as they had a house built in 1952 and the garages were tight..

Just fold and save the mirror scuffs.. That would be a great application.
Thanks Timmy 😊
