Lets talk about new vehicles

I know, I know a rehash.. the Maverick really gets me with its mpgs. It's a box too but gets incredible mpgs
Have you ever driven it without being in the battery power mode, if that's possible. If so, what's the MPG when it's running 100% on gasoline? Any hybrid gets "good MPG" because it's not always burning fuel.

You can't do that really.
As you said it's a mix. I can't hit a switch to lock out the electric mode and go gas only

I'm sure this link is okay here. It's made to be shared...mods
If not fell free to...remove.
When are posting internet links against the rules? This is getting nuts, lol. Pretty soon, all we can do here is just type text with zero links or other reference material to support the discussions.

Too bad, as that would give a true "MPG" measurement. Obviously, the more battery that's used in the mix, the better the gasoline "MPG" is going to be.

I got a warning on that top 11 filter thread but no action was taken.
In my pea brain every search engine would be in violation as well...

Probably because someone thought it was "bad information" or some other weird reason. IMO, articles like that, and YouTube videos, etc that tout misinformation should be able to be commented on to call out the misinformation and better inform people. I mean isn't this board all about that?

Yup...we all learn something everyday even small things like no more metal endcaps on @53' Stude c&p today

Just under 2300
I ran the VW last week to keep it charged up.
My 12V battery is failing, about 2 hours after driving I get a deep sleep notice. Been getting progressively worse. Now it is after every drive. No parasitic draw. It just had a 3 days rest and it came to life OK and the ICE did not start immediately (a good thing). Just no Remote functions which I rarely use. Only occasionally to lock the truck when I'm not sure it's locked when I park outside. Bad news there are no replacements available right now. Lots of them are failing on early builds.

My first oil change was 22xx also. Now on my 4th OCI since new. Thinking about 7500 mi OCI in the future. My last one was 7700 miles and the oil looked good, still some red shining thru when it was backlit by the sun. Probably about 6000 miles of the engine running.

How many total miles??

Are you talking about the starting battery or the hybrid?
The battery that is under your back seat which many folks call the 12V battery. That is the battery that runs the electronics of the truck. The rumor on MTC is that when the hybrid kept getting delayed thousands of these batteries sat for months uncharged. That is why so many early hybrid 12V batteries are failing. The car starts and runs in deep sleep mode, it just loses remote functions. Me thinks the battery is a wee bit undersized. I drove 50 miles on the highway on Wednesday. At the end of the day it took only a few minutes to receive a new deep sleep message on the Ford Pass app. Like I said before it is really not a inconvenience when you park in the garage and don't use remote start.

My Maverick was rather angry today on its fresh supply of 87 Exxon..
I couldn't control it and was on route 472 at Frog Hollow and came upon a fresh Jetta GTI
In one fell swoop we violently overtook it and as I looked at the driver it was a Nun...we both signed the cross in that moment... sadly this is absolutely a true story
😲 OMG..
