Lets talk about new vehicles

Local Ford dealership packed up.... More trucks in another field...

You need one Jimmy so do I lol 😂. Glad to see more colors other than gray and white like what most seem to be these days.
If I sell my house I will have to get one for the code 179 tax dodge... I have no experience with the new 6.8 L...
I hope it's better than the 7.3 gasser

My brother has an unbelievably bad back and loves the ride that his wife's Murano has. The downside is that it has a JATCO CVT trany. Just do some drain and fill once in awhile and it should be good for a long time.

There was something posted a long time ago that Nissan had partnered with Nassau on the development of the Space Shuttle seats. I don't know if that's true or not but Nissan is known for having extremely comfortable seats, especially for people with bad backs.

Another brother of mine has a wife with a very bad back and he bought an Altima for her to be in. She likes it a lot but I took a highway trip with him once in it and I sat in the passenger seat and I have a bad back and I found the sheet to be comfortable enough but a little on the spongy side where I could feel myself sinking into the sponge of it when it did hit bumps. That helped absorb all the bumps in the road very nicely. But my hobby is music and there's no way in the world that I could put up with the poor stereo system in that vehicle combined with the noise of it. I told him about the need to do transmission drain and fills and he talked the dealer into giving him a free drain and fill at about 30,000 miles and he got that in writing. My sister-in-law's Murano seem to be quieter but I never took a highway trip in that. Only a few local trips there weren't very long. So I'm not really sure about how good of a sound system or how quiet it is.

If I look at one it would be a STX package. I will have to fly @demarpaint in for an inspection as we both badmouthed Ford a few weeks ago and we can talk about the painting trade..
@AutoMechanic would have to certify the keyed ignition and spec pure Dino oil...only!

I need to take @ARCOgraphite on the maiden 😂 voyage to see if we can blow the motor .

A few other BITOG members to certify the break in procedure.
I was thinking maybe the first OCI at 55 miles and every 73 miles after until we reach 3633 miles.
I may need to fly in @Pablo for lunch and a Amsoil filter.

The 6.8L does sound really nice. Anyway more to come .

are they all for sale or still waiting for comp. chips....around here they still are...
No they are ready to roll..
This dealer usually buys up everything and makes money from other dealers with limited inventory.

Apparently the 6.8 comes with a slim Jim 10 spd trans...lower torque...why not just use the same trans as the 7.3 gasser

I thought you were permanently done with Ford? 🤷‍♂️
I am and was but if I can get a big tax break I will sit it in my garage for awhile and unload it later... It would be a smart move but my local Ford dealership is a joke...

I'm happy with the VW but I need to talk to my accountant..

I went and test drove a bunch of new cars last weekend. Out of all I drove I found the Subaru Forester to be the most comfortable for my old bones, and was super easy to get in and out of, with great visibility. Never owned a Subaru before, but there may be one in my future.

Here the Forester is always in short supply.

The Outback is worth the extra money, did you get a chance to look at one of those Bud?

Subaru can’t figure out decent air conditioning either, something worth considering if you have truly hot summers.

Looked at the Outback but liked the Forester better. The day I drove the Forester it was 104 and the AC kept up without any problem. I always take how the AC works as one of my top priorities due to the heat here.

Local small town dealer had 9 Trax on the lot Tuesday. I stopped by today and they were all gone... The Ford Maverick is a fail .. GM is producing ...Ford can't.
We should have had a Maverick at every household by now...
The small time dealer is pricing these $500 under invoice currently and no other VAM...

The Maverick is great but Ford is their own worst enemy
