My beef from my earlier posts on the outback as well as the line was the engine really surprised me with it's agricultural feel. I really was shocked at the lack of refinement and I wasn't comparing it to a luxury vehicle but a Mitsubishi 2L...I've had a good bit of first hand experience with Forester's at work. They are okay....not great but not terrible. Those are 17s they probably have upped their game a bit since then.
The Subie would probably give you that 3k right back when you sold it.
Exactly.....well said and on my first test drive ever I saw the cloth...lol...really? Yes really ."Agricultural feel" is a great way to describe the 17 Foresters I've driven at work. And the CVT's though reliable (unlike some) are annoying to drive. Fake shift points help but get on a highway ramp and the engine roars, the rpms skyrocket but it feels like nothing is actually happening. Mostly because nothing is actually happening.
The high spot was the day we discovered above the steering column hiding the mechanical works was nothing but a hanging black cloth. You can pull it up and look inside. Not even cheesy plastic, a cloth! Hilarious.
The AWD system is really good no doubt, but I do not understand why the Subie fan base at all.
Good seats are an absolute must. The c-max was a killer with the seats...after 20 minutes it became a torture chamber...having driven a late 90s/early 200s cavalier i can confirm they are rough little cars, even the newer ones. i can't imagine a brand new car being rough like that, but at the same time I didn't mind the roughness and would have kept my cavalier if the seats weren't so uncomfortable
I agree 100%My wife's Edge is an SEL and very nice, she loves it but I have a very hard time getting comfortable in it. I fiddle with it constantly and eventually find "tolerable". Seats are a biggie for me as well, I struggle with some back and neck issues. VW seats are among the better ones, for me at least.
The seats in the Lincoln I all but bought were different from the Edge seats and felt very good to me. That's why you drive these things, I could have easily written it off because of "Ford seats".
What's up with the off center tailpipe?
Gold paint was popular about 20 years ago.Watching Joe Raiti now..on a work break. I never had this color ever but am starting to like it but it is scarce around here.

That is actually a brown colorGold paint was popular about 20 years ago.
One of my neighbours has a Lexus SUV and a Lexus SC. Both older, both in perfect condition and both gold.
She hinted that one or the other might be for sale. Aside from the colour I'd be interested in the SC. I'm not a fan of gold, in fact that was one of the exclusion colours when I was shopping for the BMW.
You don't even have an Arty so you need to go sit yourself downI tend to avoid unique colors, they are sharp and trendy at first but quickly become dated looking IMO.
