Lets talk about new vehicles

So you can go like 200 miles then charge for 10 hours? I dunno about that for a long tripper...

It's not 10 hours using the EA or other fast charge networks, but yes, there's definitely a delay that's significantly longer than fuelling a gasser. There's a very interesting youtube video of a guy who drives an e-tron from North Carolina to Kentucky using the numerous fast charge stations currently in place and it's surprising how well the trip went.

Hopefully it accepts a charge every time it gets plugged in.
Pile of junk tesla I was forced to drive for far too long, only took a charge on days it felt like. That was about the least of its problems though. A Lada is a giant upgrade from driving a Tesla in my opinion.

My biggest critique of the Tesla's I've been in has been the interior materials selection and fit and finish. The Mustang and e-tron are both markedly better in that regard. The Audi is about as engaging to drive as a Suburban though, it's big, heavy, and INSANELY quiet inside. You could hear a pin drop at highway speed. A Tesla, you aren't hearing anything because of the wind noise. The Mustang is between the two. It's lighter, feels more engaging, isn't as fast as the Tesla, but has a much nicer interior and is faster than the Audi.

I'm thinking of putting a solar turbo on mine.

“270 miles” in all electrics really means 270 in perfect weather with no hvac use and no high speeds. Real world you will get 200 or less if its cold.

Oh and you wont drive every last EV mile and conveniently come to a stop at a charger. So you will be stopping about every 200 miles.

Yeah it would be a fun a daily driver. I thought you were after a road tripper
No way am I taking any EV on my 970 mile jaunt...until they come out with something like a 1000 plus.
Just not for me...finding gas is hard enough sometimes..

Gas is everywhere and the price range is narrow. Electric chargers you dont even know if its broken till you show up and test. Even if they all perfectly function there is a wide variety of speeds and costs to charge.

True on the electric.
Try to find gas in upstate New York
even as early as 9pm. It can get scary on a 1/4 of a tank. That area closes down early and a bunch of reservation gas stops closed 20 years ago...

Tesla shows you numbers of chargers, number open and number out of order.
I can't speak to other chargers.

If he's telling the truth, his generosity is lost on her. You just can't be nice to some people.

My large corporate employer installed a few scattered electric car chargers across the various lots when electric was very first arriving on the market. It's free for employee use. As time goes on demand has begun to exceed supply, at least before Covid anyway. And there have been mysterious people showing up at odd hours to "steal" juice as well.

Just go to a Dodge dealer, buy a Charger Redeye widebody, and be done with it.
Or a Lamborghini dealer, buy a Huracan Evo awd.

Enough screwing around.
When I was in MEL … a guy would run this wicked black LH very early on Saturday … always nailed it on the empty street … That V10 would rattle glass followed by a popping sound at the end of the block … Mercy !

Who are you? I'm not buying the 18 yo girl "thing" anymore.
I'm not trying to be rude but I have a "feeling" :)
