Lets talk about new vehicles

My VW dealership charges the same for both for service..
Thinking low $300s for trans service

The Arteon is superior to the Jetta in every way, as it should be. The Artie guys on VW Vortex still complain about the 3rd gear shift point though.

The ‘Stang has a 10 speed which I expected to be a disaster until I drove one, surprisingly it’s actually pretty good.
I loved the 10 spd combo in my 7.3 gasser . The 6 spd with a 6.2 not so much .

Some VW guys are running in Eco mode and that sucks in itself...flat and dead and up a hill it feels like you may roll backwards. No good and you don't save any gas either

I can hear it now...The 2024 Chevy Trax looks like a nice basic runabout at a used car price.
I like the new makeover...
A bit spartan inside but looks like a nice daily beater. FWD only and no CVT. I can hear the Chevy Junk comments coming..

I may test drive one soon when they come in locally.

Looks pretty nice IMO ... and no CVT is a plus. What engine(s)?

I have prostituted myself to the lowest bidder and did unspeakable things to obtain the ultimate
long range road cruiser. Obviously I have failed and need your help.

What I require............

* Great seats for a bad back and I do not like tiny bottoms in my rides but- never mind... ; )
* Roomy- I hate when they put you in a cubicle like a Ford Taurus
* No Fords- I hate their seats
* No pickups- AWD or FWD fine- CVT is okay
* Very quiet with minimal road noise
* If hwy mpg is below 25 mpg- no thanks- The more the better- MORE!
* Hybrid ok
* Don't need a prestige brand- been there before
* Reliable- Sometimes I will put 3-4K miles on in one week
* Car-SUV-CUV okay
* Budget.. $25K-$55K NEW!

Thanks!
Brand new Lexus ES. looks like it was redesigned and all new.

Seriously I’m not sure of the model but there’s a similar looking new Chevy suv I’ve been seeing and they look real good. Two in driveways and in my trailer park already. Blazer maybe?

GM makes nice driving vehicles. I’d be a little leery of a tiny turbo from them unless they outsourced it though.
