Lets talk about new vehicles

I seen on CG several 2022 Arteons coming in
4motions at $46K up.... looks like no more deals???????
What have you heard?
I've seen them showing in transit don't believe I've seen a single 22 actually on a dealers lot with real pictures.

Love the Arteon but that's also getting into Giulia money so decisions, decisions. I've got time not doing anything right now. If the market settles down I should be able to snag a used Arteon for quite a bit less than the AR. And I do love my VWs and more importantly I trust them, been very good to me.

You'll be driving a Vette before I get anything different. :p

I doubt they'll be dealing on Arteons at first with current demand, but once the market corrects it's a prime target for steep discounts as you know.

I hope so....
Then again maybe the masses are finally discovering them?

Trying to get the wife to look at a Mitsubishi. Outlander Sport or Eclipse Cross. The not-so local dealer supposedly has some. Won't know for sure until I physically go there. Many seem to be pretending to have inventory, then I drive by and see and empty lot ! The dealer is near her workplace which is not so local also.

My Wife hates her fairly new outback Too big, too ugly, not great seats and terrible HVAC GUI.
Too bad, my used 2011 with a 6M and leather and SR was a great car all around - ex. for the engine

It is hard to find more disproportionately designed vehicle than current Outback.

How is the CVT on that in normal, modest driving? Does it sap the engine power?
They improved it on my 2021 model so much that it doesn't drone and the mpg's were up. I had two 2014's
With no issues but the 21 model was superior in all respects.

No in modest driving it worked very well these days

Where'd they get a 22? No fair. I looked again today and only 3 showing within 500 miles and those are in transit. All high dollar top trim levels too. :(

One of the reasons I want awd is my Passat GT was a wonderful car but greatly hampered by fwd only when you got on it hard.
Yeah i drive slow but had to pass someone the other day and got the steering wheel ripped from my hands.. Yeah I get it.
You have to hit the nationwide button... Seems to be some out west.

Those are so cool. I've recently seen a few in videos, Ukrainians using them in the war effort.

They'd never sell here but I'm one of the few that'd buy one in a heartbeat. :p

Taos is interesting. Blend of a Jetta and a Tiguan.
The Tiguan gets murdered by the media as totally unreliable and poorly built.. Still....

They are plenty reliable albeit a few teething pains the first year. And definitely americanized so not as much classic VW feel. My beef is the way the Budack cycle drives, ugh. The last few years of the Passat were also castrated in the same manner, so GT for me.

In all fairness I've not tried one in sport mode. Perhaps more tolerable. I'm assuming the new to the USA 1.5 in the Taos drives very similar to my current 1.4 which I do like.

I think the Tao's is a great deal.
Not much more than economy suvs

Where I live in MD you see these old Fords all the time. They never quit running. Picture just now.
