Here you can see how poorly digital cameras handle high contrast. Especially highlights get easily clipped. Film handles that much better.

yep; it is an arthropod, and that's how it looks when it's all grown up.

well, they're actually "fairy shrimp" but brine shrimp are in the same order & family, so I guess I'll give it to you...:
