Let’s talk about steel and the grades

Good day folks. I am slowly getting into coal forging and doing some small knives when time permits. Let’s discuss steel grades such as 5160, W1 and W2 and 1095 to name a few. I have learned quite a lot from my friend with a coal forge (he built it from scratch) and know how to tell of a steel is hard-able or just mild.
