mostly we have pedestrian “i just changed my oil!” or “should i change my oil?” threads. but here we have a rare gem - an “i ain’t changing my stinking oil” thread!

I just returned today from our Florida trip today with 11K now on the oil. Zero oil consumption this entire OCI as always. I plan to change it if I can find M1 5-20EP. I only checked at one WM this afternoon and they are nearly out of M1 oils. Clerk in the auto department says there was a fire at XM someplace causing the shortage. She claims as soon as they get a shipment in it's gone.

Have a good trip! Hope your a/c is ice cold but knowing you and your maintenance I am sure it is.

It is as I recently changed the cabin filter. That always helps.

Sounds like heck I got from family this week. Mom's car just hit 5k then since I change her oil I was questioned about my van. Oil change is due in November (1 year) with just over 5k and 223 hours. I am destroying my van. I checked oil a week ago still full so I removed oil cap which engine looks new but I am destroying it. Lol
