Leak/moisture inside vehicle help!

05 Suburban that has spent majority of its life outside in the harsh Midwest weather. I was driving and noticed a drip from the ceiling onto my pants...There is one wet spot as pictured. I felt around and the rest of the liner was dry. In the third picture, my hand indicates the location of the inside moisture location in comparison to the roof. The truck was parked on a decline where the water would run to the rear and we received received significant rain.

My guess is the antenna is leaking? What's the best way to correct this?

My vote goes the the high frequency antenna that is entry point for the water.

That is where I had a leak on my `16 Suburban. Annoying. Almost like some of this stuff was designed to fail and be aggravating to cause you to get a new one.

Best way to correct. Order a new antenna from GM, comes with new gasket. I believe water was actually traveling through the internals/electronics of mine. Plug and play. Drop the corner of the headliner, just enough to reach your arm/hand in. 2 small electrical connectors. There are YouTube videos. Not hard, but not fun either. (1) 10mm bolt attaches it to the roof.

Does your suburban have white paint? If so thats common, ask the windshield repair shops. The paint/primer delaminates from the window frame, sticking to the seal.

Right before i traded my avalanche, i had the same leak, same place. My avalanche was yellow, but had a base of white paint under it. They cleaned the channel i guess reprimed and painted it a bit , and i had a new windshield put in since the other one was original and pitted.

The truck is tan in color. It leaked right onto my crotch. It looked like I pissed myself at a birthday party with my daughter...

Put some Silicone around the perimeter of the antenna

I would assume the only way to correct this is the drop the headliner and replace the antenna as a whole?

Or use some black RTV anywhere there's a gap or a crack. Also check around the sun roof for dried our weather stripping or a plugged drain.,,,

My `16 Suburban is white.

By the way RTV and paint don't play well together and certainly won't look good.

Yes, check the sunroof drains by flushing them w/ some warm water!

This right here was my first thought when I saw the picture. Clogged drains in the sunroof.

I flushed the drains and ensured that they were not blocked. If this doesn't fix the issue I'll report back!
