If you mean Sears detergent, it is sold at Sears stores and online. If you mean Persil, it is sold online in the US, outside the US it is a well known mass marketed laundry soap. A little expensive in the US but very little does the job well.

I use Xtra brand laundry detergent from CVS that is $1 per bottle on sale.

As long as the laundry smells Article Breeze fresh, she is happy.

First of all, I am a heavy smoker, (3 packs a day).

Secondly, before the empty soap bottle hits the recycle bin, I toss it in the back seat of the car with the cap removed - free air freshener. I like it. My favorite is "Cascade Lemon Fresh," (I know, it's dishwasher soap), but it smells a whole lot better than I do after a long day on the farm.


I'm not sure why you'd see any of that behavior as a source of pride.

I don't know who the current supplier is, but a family member used to work for a company that manufactured detergents and paints for Sears. We got cases of that stuff cheap. They kind of shrank, and after a while got bought out by ICI, which later sold off the group to PPG.

The paint was fine, but the dishwashing and laundry detergents were awful. The smell was just weird.
