Just wondering if there was anything that i could put in my 4t65-HD(Pontiac Grand Prix) that would make it shift better. Everyone i have talked to has told me not to do any kind of flush or evacuation of fluid from the TC, which leaves out AutoRX from what i have read. I already have some in the oil, but might only get another 1000 miles total on the car. Can anyone make any suggestions. I am getting ready to sell the car and want to clean it up some.

Are the engine idle and timing set correctly? If it has high miles, you can advance the timing 3-4 degrees ahead of spec.

I was having problems with my daily beater until I changed to Mobil 1 atf but you wouldn't want to make that investment if your selling the car soon.

I have AutoRX in my 4T65E-HD which suffers from the dreaded sticking pressure control solenoid, I'll let you know how it turns out.

I don't the changing the timing will help the transmission any, it would cause KR though.

I know a lot of people, professional trans rebuilders included, that absolutely swear by Lubeguard Red. One rebuilder I know won't let a trans leave his shop without it. You might try a pan drop/filter change and add this to the new fluid.

As for myself, I've had good luck with M1, but that might be a little pricey if you're going to see the car soon.
