I'm looking at Summerlin or near Durango casino. I like that part of town. Seems calm and beautiful out there.Nah, I rent to mostly people that work in service industry. They always pay on time.
Blue Diamond area, west of I-15.
Major properties do charge for people who do not have minimum status. One property decided to charge so all the others had to charge in order for there to be sufficient parking for guests since people who didn't want to pay would park at a neighboring property which didn't charge.Do they really charge for parking by the day in Vegas???
In Atlantic City, it's the same $5-$10 charge (that's all I've ever paid) no matter how many days I stay.
My place is very close to the Durango Casino. Yes, that part is nice. I can check it and see if there is anyone renting. Mine are all long-term leases.I'm looking at Summerlin or near Durango casino. I like that part of town. Seems calm and beautiful out there.
That's an F1 thing.I'm getting sick of the enification of everything, and paying a $75 resort fee on top of a $65 room is offensive to me.
Vegas was fun when the rooms were cheap because they figured you'd gamble. Now they think they're Disney World.
Except for that eyeball thing, they don't have any new attractions. That failed Grand Prix race last year, where they tried to block "freeloaders" from watching a race from public spaces, also ground my gears.
I'm not ready yet. Waiting to retire. My place is very close to the Durango Casino. Yes, that part is nice. I can check it and see if there is anyone renting. Mine are all long-term leases.
Well, yes. Living in Colorado Springs has many advantages, among others, 54 degrees during night. Slightly opened window. You sleep like a dead horse.Dry or humid, it still feels like the air billowing out of the oven door when you open it.
I was there late June - Early July for the WSOP. It's always busy from late May - Mid July because of the WSOP.I was in Vegas for 9 days at the beginning of July. Still lots of people on the Strip. It was during the big poker tournament so there a lot of poker players all over the place. We got 9 nights for $250 at Harrah's. It was fine. We also had a couple free nights at Aria. I did have some sticker shock at some restaurants. Very expensive. But got 4 free cocktails there due to our gambling status so that was $100 comp every day. Cocktail prices have gone up a lot. A drink that used to cost $14 about 5 years ago is now $25.
The casinos like F1 racing because it brings in a lot of wealthy Europeans with money to burn. Everyone else hates it. It wasn't Vegas that put up the screens on the overpasses and wanted a cut of the revenue from Strip adjacent properties. That was the F1 people.
I am anticipating housing prices to drop there. So be on the lookout. Inventory is increasing rapidly.I'm not ready yet. Waiting to retire.
Oh man. Take the extra hour and hit Biloxi instead.I'd like to see a good show at the sphere but otherwise couldn't care less about Las Vegas. I haven't gambled in 25 years, and if I ever have the desire to lose all my money again, I can just go to Tunica.
Tough in the winter. My sinuses can't take it. I bring a humidifier with me.Dry or humid, it still feels like the air billowing out of the oven door when you open it.
I live across the street (literally) from Durango casino. Came out here in 2018. Rented for six months to get the lay of the land then bought a condo. Love the neighborhood.I'm looking at Summerlin or near Durango casino. I like that part of town. Seems calm and beautiful out there.
Or Henderson and Lake Las Vegas area. Give it time though as housing is ridiculously expensive. Ever consider Reno?I'm looking at Summerlin or near Durango casino. I like that part of town. Seems calm and beautiful out there.

Wow! They just finished the new traffic signals at Warm Springs and El Capitan. My place is just down the street on EL Capitan![]()
Did not see that. Usually, I get out and drive to Blue Diamond and then hit Durango. Not staying long enough to roam aroundWow! They just finished the new traffic signals at Warm Springs and El Capitan.
My wife likes to play the slots so we usually got comped. As expensive as buffets are now, do you even want to go to them?
Oh, I BBQ year round - but only “low and slow” in the summer …It does make huge difference. I was recently there and doing BBQ one day. 104f, but the grill is under the roof. No problems.
When I lived in Alabama, I would not do BBQ between May and September if someone paid me.
