Is there a larger filter I can fit on my '97 Tercel? The Stock Fiter is absolutely tiny. It now uses a Fram PH4967 / AC PF1233 / Purol. L14476
Can I go to a Fram Ph3614 / AC PF53 / Purol. L10241? Can I go even bigger?
Thank you Hank

You can use the filter for a 01 celica gts. I believe that it is a ac delco 1234 equivalent. Not every company makes one. I don't think that ac delco makes the 1234 anymore, but wix still makes one, or you can get one from toyota.

OR you can go the route of a DUAL remote.
I'm leaning on this end for myself.

There are a lot of larger filters. Its up to you to make sure they fit(clearance/leakage/ease of installation....).

Try the 4/6/8 cylinder filters from the camry/tacoma/tundra. If you make the ph3614 fit, then you might be able to squeeze in the ph3600.

Search for toyota in this forum. Much talk about oversized options for various engines.

I'm going to go with the PH3614 / PF53 equivilent. It's a bit bigger and still fits on the base and in the location. The larger diameter PH8A is too big in diameter and looks like it will contact the exhaust manifold.
