So I recently bought a replacement screen for my laptop that came defective, after running their stupid software for pixel removal for 12hours the screen bleeds and now they refuse to give me a replacement.

Stay away from those scammers.

Next time I will be buying a new laptop altogether.

TL:DR: You get what you paid for.

PayPal claims that because I accepted $20 for the dead pixel they sided with the seller.
Now I will be going through my credit card

Don't be the idiot I was. I got a replacement screen from them and couldn't remove dead red pixels in the lower left corner. It took me two days to realize they were a pattern on the plastic sheet designed to protect the screen. I peeled it off and the screen was perfect.

Glad I'm not the only one lol. I was [censored] when I booted the laptop up and saw the dots Haha.

How do you know it isn't the software's fault? It sounds more like that than a defective screen.

Hi Stewie,

As some of the respondents already suggested - make sure that the super-thin protective film is not present on-screen.

Additionally, LaptopScreen.com guarantees a working replacement or your money back, and that includes dead pixels. All LaptopScreen.com LCDs are covered by a 3 year manufacturer defects warranty, you can request exchange of the screen you have at any time during the three years.

No returns are refused - partial refunds are usually only offered to customers who cannot bear a quick return turn-around, so it is very perplexing to hear that your return for replacement request was refused.

In any case, if you utterly hate our screen, send me an email: ilia [nospam] laptopscreen.com and it'll be taken care of.

Regards,

Ellis

Well I believe one of your colleagues had a bad day and denied my claim altogether claiming that I somehow cracked the screen.

At this point I am going through CC.

Yes I did remove the protective screen.

What angers me the most is that the rep was such an A**H**e

I am sure it is the screen because if you were to leave your computer on for 12 hours straight it should still work.

What angers me the most is their ****ty customer service, they think they know it all.

I am Sys admin w/ over 5 years of experience and this nobody comes out of the blue that I cracked the screen.

Stewie,

I would be very interested to see the ticket for that, if you could please PM it to me or e-mail it, or post the six digit number here.

PayPal will not look kindly at a charge-back via CC - as they require their users to go through the PayPal resolution process and adhere to their decision.

But let me get this straight: The LCD screen actually cracked after 12 hours of running pixel software?

That's unheard-of, LCD screens can crack - but only when they meet hard objects at considerable velocity...

Stewie, please e-mail me - I'd really like to be included on this case...

I really like how the company in question is reaching out and the OP has either failed to update us or has disappeared....

That's the way of the Internet.

Yes, not a satisfactory feeling at all, especially considering that the strong accusatory rhetoric that began the thread was indexed by Google into 50 pages of results screaming "SCAM" for our company this week.

I rigorously searched though our support queue and I have found this case, without further adieu, behold - the entire account of the situation:

- Customer placed an order with us on Sunday Mar 20, 2016 at 16:30:43 (Estimated Delivery on Mon, Mar 28)
- Order was packed and shipped next day on Monday Mar 20 in the morning
- Order was delivered on Monday Mar 28th as promised

Customer contacted support on Mar 28 and a support ticket was created for the customer:

Thank you for contacting the support team.
Please try the following method to remove the stuck pixel: http://www.jscreenfix.com/
This software will flash colours across the effected area, please allow it to run for up to 1-2 hours.
This may revive the pixel accordingly.
Please update us with the results of this test if further action is required.

The screen shown is cracked, thus the LCD bleeding within the screen. Our warranty does not cover cracked screens.

So it seems that the screen made it to customer OK, but had 1 red stuck pixel on it. Support offered tips to recover it and offered to do an exchange or partial refund. At some point the screen became cracked and customer requested to replace it. The screen pictured above is no longer resalable - it will never work properly again.

As an internet shop, Scams hurt us just as much as they hurt consumers - fraudulent sites that pretend to sell cheap things - but in reality send fake/counterfeit goods, or even worse steal peoples financial information - such occurrences completely destroy on-line trust and scare customers away from on-line shopping.
That is why we are supporting our local Better Business Bureau Top 10 Scams campaign this year: https://twitter.com/BBB_BC/status/702203282266071040

We have been in business for 10 years and as a company that sells highly fragile and technical items we work really hard to maintain our good reputation:

We have been BBB Accredited with A+ rating since 2013:
http://www.bbb.org/mbc/business-reviews/...uver-bc-1257595

We have 9.9/10 rating and over 24 thousand (!!!) customer reviews on ResellerRatings.com:
http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Laptop_Screen

We have 4.8/5 rating and over 8 thousand customer reviews on ShopperApproved.com:
http://www.shopperapproved.com/reviews/laptopscreen.com/

We have 9.8/10 rating and over 1 thousand customer reviews on TrustPilot.com:
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.laptopscreen.com

We have 97% rating and over 1 thousand customer reviews on SiteJabber.com:
http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.laptopscreen.com

One would be hard-pressed to find another technology oriented company that maintains such high over-all levels of customer satisfaction.
We really do care about our customers as if we ourselves were making the same purchase.

And one last thing - if anyone here thinks that all things considered we do owe Stewie a free LCD screen - let me know so and why - and we'll overnight it to him.

Best regards,

Ellis

Wow, looks like someone tried to close the lappy with something sitting on the keyboard. Not sure how anyone would think that's not cracked. I would think this thread might be a violation of forum rules (slander or some such).

Perhaps the cracked screen is his old one, and he is truly scamming here?

Methinks the OP got busted is what happened. He probably soiled his pants when the dealer showed up and directly answered his rant.

He hasn't disappeared from the board, he's posted today in other threads. Just avoiding this one apparently.

It's interesting that your company has been reviewed so many times and even has more reviews than companies like Newegg, Overstock and Monoprice. Many of the reviews are from people that only reviewed your company. I wouldn't think a replacement laptop screen would invoke enough passion for someone to sign up and review only that one transaction.

One can argue reviews. One cannot deny the fact the OP (apparently) cracked the screen and wanted a new one. If I was the mod on this board it would be adios to the OP!

As stated...he is avoiding this thread HE CREATED once he was challenged by the seller.

His credibility in any thread is zero in my view.

Lol OP got busted, our company has ordered 1000s of screens from them with only a few issues, but always resolved promptly and to our satisfaction. That is 100% a crack caused by the OP.
