Does anyone here use it in water to drink for pain relief? My lady friend here where I live orders it one Kilo at a time. She adds it to a water bottle, shakes it up, and drinks it. She said it helps curve her pain, somewhat. I don't want to try it due to my pain management Dr. will find it in my urine test.

I would talk to your provider. If the active duty can use without problems then it's fine but I certainly don't know. I use a CBD external spray salve on my lower back that gets hot/cold. Like tiger balm but like modified with a smell and heat that radiates.

Doesn't sound like something I'd care to dabble with. Mayo clinic reports are generally reliable.
Oh WOW! Thank You very much for posting this.
I just read the article and I'm not ready to visit St. Peter at the gates. If I want some of the parts that get you high, I will start smoking weed again (I haven't since I was 18 and am NOT going to) but I will NOT!
I'm going to show this article to my friend tomorrow. Again, thanks for posting the article.

A friend with autoimmune issues takes it and swears by it...

Ever heard of the placebo effect? [The automobile version would be the people who swear they saw a big benefit from Slick 50, graphite oil additives, "restores your engine in a can", etc.]

A testimonial is fine but, with all due respect, can't be trusted. A few deaths, along with little or no objective evidence of any benefit, puts things in perspective.

It's simply not possible to conduct a thorough review of everything yourself. That's the benefit of finding a review by a trusted source. For medical matters that could be the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, etc.

You mean like how Pfizer/BioNTech and modeRNA swindled the American people out of around $80B dollars with their product “testimonials”? CDC changing its “guidance” based on partisan wishes? You know, the 2+ billion person experiment that they won’t have long-term results from til 2023? And they contaminated the control group as well, so there’s no way to get a true picture of the risk.

/Rantover, but I’ve got some physical issues and thanks to ObamaCare, no physician can prescribe me painkillers to manage even acute flare ups. I’ve tried Delta 8 CBD and I can tell you (with other people confirming the difference) that I walk less hunched over and more smoothly after I’ve taken it.

I also know it works because I asked my mom one day if she wanted a gummy (didn’t say what it was) and an hour later she got up and noticed her knees & foot didn’t hurt. Then she asked what I gave her, and now she buys her own. She’s on 3-4 pain “management” meds that don’t get the job done.

A number of drug companies did pull a fast one by promoting long term medium and high dose opioids without evidence that (1) it would control pain in the long term and (2) it didn't lead to addiction. Well, it doesn't work and it does lead to addiction. So the involved drug companies are now getting to pay massive financial penalties. The living patients are left with addictions. And the dead patients are still dead.

Since we now know that, most physicians won't prescribe long term medium or high dose opioids. And that's because (1) it doesn't work (meaning it doesn't control pain in the long term) and (2) it does lead to addiction.

Remember the old medical adage "First of all, do no harm." And creating an addiction is a terrible harm.

I tried kratom for my back pain. It didn't do anything. I kept uping the dosage gradually with no effect. When I ran out of that one order, I didn't buy more. YMMV

Delta 8 THC works well for pain and muscle relaxation. It's just one bond different from Delta 9 THC, the main part of cannabis that gets you "high" so to speak. It's ~40% less potent than D9 THC but gives the pain relief and sedation without the high. I take D8 every night as a sleep aid which is quite effective. I can fall asleep and stay asleep without the weird dreaming or hangover like with most sleep medication. I keep THC-O and HHC if I need something during the day. It takes the pain off like D8 while also giving a better energy kick than any coffee or energy drink.

I suffer from PTSD and anxiety, and it works great for it. If I feel I'm about to spiral, I can step aside, smoke a little, and instantly calm right down. It works better than any medication I've ever taken.

Yeah when my daughter was at camp Pendleton and she spent her whole day chaptering people out of the military. Whatever your struggle is it's real and military parents like myself grieve with you and we greive for you. As someone who suffers from back pain I can tell you a lot of the physical therapy I get for my other half does much more for me than anything else. Getting out and walking seems to be a great natural endorphin and I try to do it as much as possible. I just wish now I could do more to help are veterans who seem to come at a standstill with their health care. Sometimes I joke with my buddies and say you should leave and come back in as a refugee so you can get the care that you need. The veterans are a proud group and don't want the handouts, just a hand up in their time of need which far too many of us don't completely understand. When I worked for the VA, I knew that I could not fix everything but I tried real hard to make what I did the best that it could be for the best customers we had.

I'm not a fan of the military or VA healthcare system at all. The doctors and nurses make a good bit less than those in private practice. They can't be sued for malpractice. The only doctors that work there are those who are fresh out of med school doing their residency, those who had multiple malpractice suits and are there to hide behind that clause, or those who are on their way out and buying time until retirement. There's no incentive to provide better care or do anything above the bare minimum. I got community care through the VA, where I can go to a private practice outside the VA with VA coverage, and the care has been much better and faster.

Delta 8 does work, but for those people for whom it matters, you will fail a urine test after taking it.

Yep. I forgot to mention this. There's some limited data points indicating that HHC (THC's more potent cousin) does not show up in urine tests as it hits a different receptor. I'm not sure if that's true or not, and it's stated not to rely on the limited anecdotal experiences.. I've considered stopping the D8 for a few weeks, taking only HHC, and then take one of those dollar store drug tests to see if it shows up.

How is the pain relief with HHC? From what I am reading it is supposedly half as potent as Delta 8. THC-O is supposed to be twice as potent as Delta 8 but it didn't do anything at all for me, and neither does CBD. Have you tried THC-P yet?

HHC has similar potency to Delta 9, about 40% more potent than Delta 8. I get better relief from HHC than Delta 8 and at a lower dose. THC-O is ~3x as potent as Delta 9. I tread lightly with THC-O as it can make me jittery and paranoid. I've only tried THC-P in a blend with Delta 8 and Delta 10 so I can't say how it is by itself.

THC and HHC act on different receptors. Some people have a higher tolerance of one or the other which is why such as this is highly subjective.

C'mon dude both parties are dirty as hell in the big pharma payouts and some companies became virtual drug cartels with their pain med marking.

The US, like Europe has, should adopt a ban on ALL TV DRUG ADERTIZING. "Hey doc, I saw this drug on TV can you prescribe it to me? I know maybe it could have very adverse side-effects, be way more than a generic med that might be vastly more effective! But hey they were playing my favorite Monkees song!"

The law that Clinton passed that allowed TV advertising of drugs has created more hypochondriacs & people believing they “need” meds is one of the most disastrous things ever. Shame on Congress. Not only are they responsible for these medical crises, nearly all of them have directly profited from the pain & suffering they caused.

Have you run across HHC-O yet? It is supposedly 2-3 times as potent as HHC.
