Need to replace my Kohler Courage17 HP SV530 engine on my 2007 RZT zero turn Cub Cadet. Found a Kohler Courage 19 HP SV590 engine from a LTX 1040 lawn tractor. Seller says should bolt right up but his is gravity feed fuel system and mine is equipped with a fuel pump. Any problem if I keep my fuel pump and carb to put on the new engine? Does it work like that?

The one I am looking at sounds and looks very good and is only $250.00

It'll work fine. Gravity feed is fine if the tank is mounted up on the firewall, but using your fuel pump will also work. Everything else should bolt up.

The cheap lawn tractors with manual blade clutch instead of electric often have a different crankshaft size on the engine. That would be difficult to work around.

If the only difference is fuel pump you will need a place on the new engine to attach the fuel pump drive hose. This may be on a valve cover which you could swap off of the old engine.

Thanks for the answers and suggestions. Right now the seller is having second thoughts about selling it for that price of $250.00 I will wait and see what happens but continue to try and find one elsewhere in the meantime.
