K&N Pro Series Oil Filters

No. My PS-7014 had severe plastic end plate warping after only 6 months of usage. Cartridge oil filter, readily apparent when removing it. I'm not sure if that thing was still filtering completely given the end plate issues. I don't think their filter media stands up well to deformation when oiled.

It has a very thick tapping plate, 500psi burst strength, 94% efficiency, stainless screen over the bypass valve. Super heavy duty and great for performance cars/trucks and off roading. That said, both TG and Ultra are better ate removing dirt from your oil.

To expensive IMO... much better filters for same or less $

Only reason to use a K&N is if you have a oil filter that is very very hard to get to.

I used a K&N and cut it open after and I was not blown away by it...

I took pics and put here.

Im not saying they are bad.. I dont feel they are worth the $$$$$

Much rather have a FRAM ULTRA.

However if you have a oil filter that is hard to reach and you end up burning yourself trying to get regular oil filters off, then that might be the only reason to jusify using a K&N IMO.

Also they are not made in the USA anymore, so I would expect the price to drop... but Im sure that wont happen.
