AC Delco “Gold” series oil filters.

Is there still a “Gold” series line of AC Delco oil filters? I recently purchased some UPF63R Ultraguard filters. I was expecting to see a black filter with a label the states “Gold” on it. The label was blue but no mention of Gold.

Is the “Ultraguard” that same as the Gold currently?

Yes, that's how the last 12 pack i bought was labeled as well. The filters were otherwise identical to a remaining old gold label filter i had.

Are UPF63r still made in USA? Should say on filter or box.

Do they share design/build with any other well-respected 2025 filters? (They did well in the Ascent Labs efficiency testing from a few years ago when there was still a wire-backed OG Fram Ultra. Just behind the Ultra and the Royal Purple).

someone is cutting open my latest Endurance, won’t have final results for awhile, but preliminary news is it was flawed (glue & ADBV leaf spring fitting.)
