Wondering if anyone knows if there is a CAT oil filter that cross references to the PF63 AC Delco for a 2014 Silverado 1500 5.3? My Google searching isn’t coming up with anything. Why you may ask? Well because I know a guy who knows a guy sort of situation where I can supposedly get some CAT filters cheap. I’m going to look into pricing if I can find a part number.

CAT doesn't make a direct cross for that filter, you'd have to find a filter that has the same gasket diameter and centre tube threads and would physically fit on your application that has a CAT cross, so it's going to be a bit of an adventure for you.

To start for you:
Donaldson crosses the PF63 to the P577066
Fleetguard crosses the PF63 to the LF17531

Gasket OD is 2.76"
Gasket ID is 2.47"
Centre tube is M22X1.5

Yeah not looking for an adventure. If it takes more than about 60 seconds of effort I’m not interested

Probably not worth the hassle - decent stuff out there for $7 to $9 … lots of PG c&p here - and even these have a spring surface they “coin” with … good numbers …

Just out of curiosity , what is wrong with using the OE AcDelco filter ?

Nothing but if I can find a quality filter for less money I’m going to do it, which is why I basically never use the OEM. A lot of good options on the market

I understand pricing varies by area but an AcDelco oil filter is $5 at my local Walmart.
