I’m sure it will be good oil. Hopefully as good as their filters. I won’t pay a real premium price for it though if it is made by someone else who makes some other oils.

From my experience really really good. Haven’t had any issues with them. I know people who only use them on their cars and have had no issues.
I personally detest their air filters. Can't speak to the oil filters. The hex nut on the end is convenient.
I'm surprised it took them so long to come up with this.
K&N has been a well known name for at least 20 yrs.
Oil merchandising is really all about marketing.
There's a LOT of profit when you can sell the product at a large markup because of the name.
You know Costco is not losing money on their 5 quarts for 11 bucks pricing.
This is 4 quarts for 30 bucks.
Even if KN has a dollar more cost for ingredients in the jug (which I doubt) it's a gold mine.

It appears to be made by PennGrade/DA Lubricants. I'm sure the oil is fine, but overpriced with that K&N name on it.
NOT impressed. Not DEXOS approved.

Seems like any brand name remotely related to automobiles will now market a motor oil; K&N, Fram, STP, Kirkland, Much of it is from the same blenders.
Does anyone know if K&N motor oil is Dexos rated?
It probably contains elevated levels of silicon antifoaming agents. Then you can't tell that it is their air filter causing the high silicon on your UOA.
I saw this new oil at Autozone. I'll happily buy it when it gets clearenced out at $1.50/qt. As for K&N air filters - no thanks, I won't use them.
