15w40 is generally acceptable down to 20F, is it not? That's what I've always understood. Personally, I wouldn't have an issue running a syn blend or full syn version down to 0F.

I saw this at Walmart in New Mexico today. Today they had Delvac 1300 along side the new stuff. Would this be ok to use in my LMM Duramax if they are out of the 1300

It looks like Mobil has renamed Mobil Delvac 1300 Super as Mobil Delvac HDEO.

However, this also seems more to be an international name rather than a US name.

No, this is a different product, Delvac 1300 Super still exists, and it's mixed fleet oil, this is diesel only oil and has to have above 1000ppm of phos because it's got the ford approval.
I see.

Detailed specs for Delvac HDEO:

Detailed specs for Delvac 1300 Super:

Delvac HDEO has a more stout add pack at the expense of not having a certification for API SN but adds the Ford certification as you said.

Delvac HDEO 15W-40 CK-4 is slightly thinner than Delvac 1300 Super 15W-40 in terms of base oil. This translates as better wear protection for Delvac 1300 Super, but Delvac HDEO could possibly make up for it through its more stout add pack.

Estimated base-oil viscosity and VII content of selected oils
