Just bought some M1 0w-40 and M1 filter

Auto zone is running a special until Feb 7th, 30 bucks for 5 quarts of M1 with M1 filter, good deal! I bought 5 quarts of 0w-40 to try in the Subie. I've been running the M1 HM oils in my car for the last few oci's, but AZ didn't have any. I know the 0w-40 is a top notch oil.

Thats a great deal, M1 0w40 is one of the top oils out...Period. I want to run it in my Altima 2.5S but I think it my be too much. Anyone think it's fine?

Check the inside of the M1 filter....I got that deal as well and the listed filter had tiny punch perforations, and many of them were actually closed up! I have not returned the filter (it's been like a year), should probably take pictures of it. YMMV.

have you changed the timing belt yet?

I had a big 100K service done back in June 2010. Timing belt, rear diff and transmission fluid change, brake flush, p/s flush, plugs, wires, coolant drain/refill, and valve cover gaskets. The car is good to go!
