I just took this off my 110TLB (backhoe), common spin-on fuel filter on Yanmar engines now. No idea who makes it. Just comes in a JD box and says "fuel filter" along with some asian writing. Thick can, P-mould gasket, coil spring. Seems pretty well constructed, over 500 hours on this one (oops.). New filter even comes with the gasket pre-lubed!

my JD 4600 uses a cartidge filter as well. The new tractors and even the JD diesel mowers have a spin on filter mounted to the engine as well as a water separator / filter (plastic screen) on the chassis.

I wanted to change it since the manual says 400 hours and its been on since new.

Totally agree. Nothing good can come from trying to get away cheap with a pricey hoe.
