As the title says here’s a John Deere filter cut open with unknown hours and time on it. This came off of a Kohler CH20 on a Miller welder with 1238 hours on it. Judging by how low the oil was (barely touched the dipstick) I’d say it’s been on there for a long time. There was a considerable amount of gritty crud between the pleats, but the silicone ADV was in good shape.

Wonder what the c means. Don’t think I’ve ever seen one with a letter on the end like that.
I’m curious as well what the “C” denotes. I’m not positive but it looks like the small Briggs & Stratton filters. It was also a bit shorter than the standard Kohler filter that replaced it.

Use this for the JD130 22 H.P. V-Twin since new . Bought in 2013 . Close to 400 hours . Synthetics since 1st O.C.. Started with P.P.10w-30 and went to 5w-30 after .

The C means it is compatible with almost every Deere mower. Fits, Briggs, kohler and Kawasaki instead of having multiple different filters.

I think the newer version of this filter uses nitrile instead of silicone. Do u have a pic of the base plate?
