Ok so the transmission (32RH on the jeep) is broken. Badly. Dad had to take my car to work yesterday and todya. He had me pull it in the garage today, and wow. IT sounds AWFUL. Like a grinding whine. In order to move AT ALL, I had to have my foot to the floor so it was bouncing off the rev limiter, and it just sounded horrible. It moved like an inch a year like that until it got in the garage. Dad says there is fluid in it. This is a rebuilt transmission from a couple years ago when we killed the original by going through mud. Ever since then the TCC doesn't unlock on it's own, we have to hit the gas or put it in in neutral. It shudders and clunks until we unlock it, and it stalls if we don't do anything. He has always used Valvoline ATF+4 in it. It's always made nasty noise. As a matter of fact. This was before I knew better. The sound it makes when I rev it, is the sound it makes, only a million times worse. Anyone have any idea what the problem is?
