The 1992 Nissan Urvan, 2.7 diesel (no turbo) needed antifreeze, the manual said to use ethylene glycol antifreeze; at the time, apparently it was pretty simple: EGW+phosphates and no silicates. Today that's complicated, there is no such animal anymore... The JDM importer said to use Zerex Asian green (Valvoline) PHOAT, has no Si, 2-EHA, amines, nitrates or borates. I emailed Nulon (Australia) who recommended Nulon Green Premium LL, a "hybrid addative technology" no phosphate, no nitrites no amine but yes low silicate. Methinks they actually have Urvans running around down there, where we don't up here. I'm uncomfortable running a hybrid organic type antifreeze on the older JDM vehicles (this is my first introduction to it), and really shy of the silicon too. Has anyone got experience with it? If not, that's my research & best guess, recommended to me, on what to use, I'm certainly no expert.
