Then you aren't buying them new from a dealership. I've been to 3 Harley dealerships in the last 2 months and they didn't have a single model that was 103 C.I or bigger, ANY MODEL, that was under $30K. There's no way you're going to buy a new RK for anything close to $20K, unless you are somehow getting them at dealer cost...but none of this surprises me, you Harley guys live in a fantasy world where you make up your own facts...

Like I said grampi, anyone can verify my facts, no one can verify you because you are in fantasy land. I thank the others for chiming in on this, good god, it's useless talking to you. Yes, I bought my 14 Road king from a Harley dealer, brand new, as the others did, the freaking LIST prices are right on Harley's website. Good god, I honestly think you are making this up for fun, that's how stupid it is. By the way, just because some expensive bikes are not sold on the showroom floor doesn't mean the less expensive ones didnt sell !

So I'm either supposed to believe you guys are talking down these dealers from $35K-$40K to the price you paid, or dealerships in your areas are only asking half of what all the dealers I've been to are asking for their bikes. I find neither believable...

It is right in front of your own eyes.

Must be nice to live in a place that sells things at 1995 prices...

Of course you do...anything negative said about Harleys has got to be a lie, right?

That's hilarious...that's like the car dealerships that advertise super low prices, then when you get there you find out they only had one vehicle at that price and it was sold...I'm telling you there are no Harley dealerships I've been to that sell Road Kings at prices anywhere near $18K...like I said, I have not seen any priced under $30K, and many of them were over $40K...you can call me a liar all you want, but I know what I've seen....

Its ok grampi, dont worry about it. If you ever want to buy at Road King for 20,000 instead of 30 to 40,000 let me know and I will arrange it at a local HD dealer for you to go in and buy it.
But, before you do, just go into the dealer on your own and tell him that is what you want to buy.

I don't ever see that happening...I love my Triumph...

Ok, grampi...now you're acting like a 4-year-old, covering your ears and hollering "LA-LA-LA-LA-LA! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"

I like Triumph's too, I like all bikes (just look at the 3 brands below) and I dont judge a rider by the brand they ride nor do I question their motivation based on the price they are willing to pay for their personal enjoyment.
I came close to a Thnderbird LT at one point but the dealer is 2 hours from me, so never went there. Guy offered me a great price right over the phone.

people often overthink things , ask any racer and they ll tell you flately keep it stupid simple and effective! i ll use my industry as an idea. trucking in america had it all in the past .v4 .v6 .v8 .v12 .v16 turbo non turbo etc .and now ? insanelly simple. its all inline 6 .what happen ? america went stupid? nope , its just that when you got ton of stupid driver and they all say this design is insanelly hard to break . you got your foundation right there. check Honda b16. there are a lot of people that tried to break these engine. even paul tracy cheated into trying to break it by red linning it into the cfuel cut off ( very bad) he still couldnt be stupid enough to break it and god did paul tracy try.so moral? keep it simple .one of my favorite design is the wankel rotary from mazda . i saw this engine being punished a lot in the past and i can tell you . if mazda started a feedback channel for this specific engine it would even be a better engine then the i6 ( and god knows the i6 is alomst bullet proof

I don't know what you're talking about...I have no interest in owning a Harley...and I thought you were on my side? Are you a traitor?

I don't judge riders by what they ride either, it's their actions that speak volumes. I see so many Harley owners who look down on anyone who rides another brand...heck, two of my best riding buddies ride Harleys, so obviously it's not the bike, it's the rider...

'so obviously it's not the bike, it's the rider...'

^ au contraire ^ All one has to do is read your past posts on Harleys....and their owners.

Hey grampi name the dealers where you found these prices? We need names.

A link to the Harley website was posted showing the MSRP for a new Roadking, and he still doesn't believe it! Amazing!
